What if the smartest digital solution on the market was also the quickest to deploy?

For many mining operations, digitalization comes with a difficult equation. The potential value is clear: better information can improve both safety and productivity. But getting there can mean large investments, long implementation projects and significant demands on internal IT resources. At Mobilaris, we believe it is time to change that.

Powerful technology should not be reserved for companies with the largest digitalization budgets or the biggest IT organizations. That thinking was fundamental when we developed Mobilaris Site, a solution built around a simple principle: make it easy to start, easy to use and easy to grow.

Instead of beginning with a large transformation project, mines can now start with the core functionality they need to create situational awareness and operational value. The focus is on getting essential capabilities in place quickly, without unnecessary complexity.

Mobilaris Site brings the entire operation together, indoors, outdoors and underground. It turns scattered data from different systems and sensors into one real-time site overview. To avoid locking positioning into a single technology, Mobilaris Site lets you use the technologies that best fit your needs, including UWB, LTE, Wi-Fi, Wirepas and GPS – within one platform. Multiple tags can also be combined on the same asset to improve coverage and accuracy.

The result is one unified situational awareness view of the entire site, designed to work equally well in mines without control room, using tablets or laptops in the field, and in advanced control rooms with large screens and dedicated operators.

Just as importantly, starting simple does not mean limiting what comes next. Every mine is different, and requirements evolve over time. A site may initially want better awareness of people, machines and assets. Later, additional capabilities can be introduced as operational needs, ambitions and digital maturity grow.

For us, simplicity is not about making the technology less capable. It is about taking complexity away from the customer. The most advanced technology is often the technology that feels simple to use.

Traditional digitalization projects often grow in complexity over time, with layers of customization, integrations and dependencies that make them slower to deploy, harder to maintain and more difficult to scale. With Mobilaris Site™, we take a different approach. We offer a standardized core focused on what mines actually need, with the flexibility to expand when there is a clear operational need.

As a company, we are also in a privileged position. By building Mobilaris Site™ from the ground up, we are not constrained by legacy technology, old architectures or heavy processes. We can take everything we have learned from more than 15 years of mining digitalization and combine our application knowledge with today’s AI technology to build a solution that is simpler, faster to evolve, better tested and easier to maintain over time.

Mobilaris Site™ is all about real-time situational awareness: creating a common, real-time understanding of what is happening at the mine site. Underground, on surface and indoors at the plants, all in one unified system. Where are people, the equipment and important assets? Is the shift progressing as planned or are there any unexpected threats to today’s production? Are there any dangerous situations that we need to warn people about? With Mobilaris Site™ safety and productivity goes hand in hand.

And since Mobilaris Site is technology agnostic, information does not need to be fragmented between different environments and systems. The operation can be viewed as one unified, connected site.

The principle is deliberately straightforward. Start with key functionality. No unnecessary complexity. And when new needs emerge, the solution can scale with them.

Mobilaris Site™ gives you access to critical information wherever you are – indoors, outdoors and underground
